Nature and Scope of Position
Effective public speaking is central to the success of MLFA. “Speakers for Justice” will be a team of volunteers who speak on behalf of MLFA in their local community regarding the importance of MLFA’s mission, work, and services. MLFA speakers will play a pivotal role in increasing our capacity to communicate with their local community more often and effectively.
- Qualifications
- Volunteer commitment = 2 programs per year.
- Must be an experienced public speaker.
- Complete MLFA’s public speakers training.
- Provide one or two references.
- Roles & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate initiative and work as a team player.
- Speak on behalf of MLFA, upon request when available.
- Help MLFA secure an annual program, seminar or event with your local masjid.
- Helps identify, recruit and/or cultivate supporters and volunteers for MLFA.
- Share/forward MLFA news, services, programs, etc. with your personal contacts.
- Establish strong and appropriate relationships with the general community.
- Convey a professional positive image and attitude regarding the organization.
